The Somerset Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 46-37 to Carrizo Springs. Somerset was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carrizo Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Carrizo Springs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adisyn Reyes, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Reyes' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paulina Lira, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Carrizo Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
Somerset will head out on the road to face off against Pleasanton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carrizo Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pearsall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
