Carroll has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ray recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Carroll Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Ray Texans at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Carroll will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Miller on Saturday. Carroll blew past Miller 13-1. Considering the Tigers have won ten matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Isabella Montalvo was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Carroll got a massive performance out of Ava Sanchez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Sanchez has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Aubryna Luna, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Carroll always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miller only posted an OBP of .364.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ray). They put the hurt on Corpus Christi Moody with a sharp 18-8 win on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Texans with their most commanding win of the season.
Sarina Gomez was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season. Kailey Benavides was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Carroll's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 7.5 strikeouts in those games compared to only 4.14 in the others. As for Ray, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.
Ray's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Carroll has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Ray, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Carroll's sizable advantage in that area, Ray will need to find a way to close that gap.
Carroll took their victory against Ray in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-0. Does Carroll have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ray turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
