After flying high against the Benicia Panthers last Saturday, the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons came back down to earth. Bishop O'Dowd fell 78-69 to Oakland Tech on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ardarius Grayson was on fire for Oakland Tech: he scored 31 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Grayson has scored at least 25% of Oakland Tech's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saddiq Alarbesh, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 0 assists.
Bishop O'Dowd's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Oakland Tech, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop O'Dowd will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alameda at 12:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Oakland Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
