The Poly Parrots will face off against the Verdugo Hills Dons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Poly is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Poly got a big performance out of TAYLA COLLINS, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was JAZLYN GALLARDO, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, while Verdugo Hills put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Arleta. The Dons were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Mustangs. The Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 11 runs or more this season.
Madesyn Meadows was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 5.1 innings pitched. Meadows was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julie Aguilar, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Emma Barba was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Verdugo Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arleta only posted an OBP of .185.
Poly's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Verdugo Hills, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5-1.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Poly hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Verdugo Hills struggles in that department as they've averaged .337. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
