The Hernando Leopards scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past Hudson with points to spare, taking the game 72-55. The victory was just what Hernando needed coming off of a 78-39 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hernando to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaron Laskey, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Laskey also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Josiah Wright was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
The victory got Hernando back to even at 10-10. As for Hudson, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hernando will take on Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for Hudson, they will head out on the road to take on Dunedin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses for Dunedin and six for Hudson.
