Basketball Game Preview: St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints vs. Catholic Crusaders

The St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints will face off against the Catholic Crusaders at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Stephen's & St. Agnes comes in on three and Catholic on five.

Last Saturday, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Mary's Ryken, taking the game 63-52. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 15th in Virginia, while the Knights are ranked 142nd in Maryland), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Riley Jacobs, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. His morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Julian Burgdolf was another key player, putting up 14 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Catholic narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Keenan 57-55.

Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
