Spanish Springs has gone 9-1 against Carson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Saturday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Senators  at 9:00  a.m. Spanish Springs knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Carson likes a good challenge.
Spanish Springs is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Nevada's top teams: Galena, who was ranked 22nd  at the time (Spanish Springs was ranked third). The Cougars put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp  12-2 victory on Saturday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Hannah Fitzpatrick tossed a big game,   tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Spanish Springs got a  massive  performance out of  Kacyn Gifford, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI.  Madison Rogers was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Spanish Springs was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in five consecutive  games.
Meanwhile, Carson came up short against Damonte Ranch last Tuesday and fell  13-9.
 Carson got a  massive  performance out of  Lillian Barker, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with two  triples and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Ari Gallardo-Yanez, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with four  RBI.
 Spanish Springs has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-1 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Carson, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8-1 record  this season.
Saturday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Spanish Springs hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Carson struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Everything went Spanish Springs' way against Carson when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, as Spanish Springs made off with  a  16-6 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success,  or do  the Senators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
