After three games on the road, Wise is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Laurel Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
On Saturday, Wise was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to St. Mary's Ryken.
Wise's loss came about despite a quality game from Cayden Hargrove, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rasan Golatt, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Laurel unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 66-51 fall against Bowie.
Wise's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Laurel, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1.
Wise strolled past Laurel in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 63-48. Will Wise repeat their success, or does Laurel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
