Heritage (Littleton, Colo.) lost to
Legend (Parker, Colo.), 27-17.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown, the Eagles went into halftime with a 17-12 lead. The Titans scored the winning points with a touchdown run by
Josh Miskol that came in the third quarter.
Legend's most effective player was
Connor Orgill. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
LHS entered the contest giving up 22.0 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding Heritage below its season average of 21.0 points scored per game.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Titans, which lost to Fountain-Fort Carson last week, 41-7. The loss comes after Heritage defeated Palmer 30-6 last week.
In a 5A Pioneer game next week Heritage (3-4) takes on Castle View, and Legend (4-3) will go up against Rock Canyon also in a 5A Pioneer game.
