While Silverbacks fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Laguna Acoma 48-0 on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Silverbacks just coasted through the last quarter.
Lorenzo Sedillo-Urban had an outrageously good game as he threw for 226 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Adam Chavez was in the mix as well, providing Legacy Academy with three receiving touchdowns touchdowns.
Legacy Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Rudy Ramirez and Adam Quesada. Legacy Academy got some further help from Zachary Perea: he picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
