Evadale extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 6-10. They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Deweyville Pirates. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2025.
Allie Seals spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
On the hitting side, Melanie Hufstetler and Madison Riedinger did most of the damage at the plate: Hufstetler got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI, while Riedinger went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Hufstetler has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Lakyn Stott, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Evadale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deweyville only posted an OBP of .333.
As for Deweyville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12-1. Pirates fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Evadale since Tuesday.
On Deweyville's side, E Manning was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that Manning has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of B Revere, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Evadale will have a chance to go back-to-back against Deweyville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
