Baseball Recap: Arbor View Drops Season-High Score on Coronado

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arbor View). They blew past the Coronado Cougars 15-1 on Friday. The Aggies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Colton Christman was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jase DeSantis, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Arbor View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive matchups.

Arbor View has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Coronado, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-19.

Looking ahead, Arbor View will host Liberty at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Coronado, they will venture away from home to take on Bishop Gorman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
