The Union Bears entered their tilt with the Lee Generals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Union blew past the Generals 74-40 on the road on Thursday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-18.
Lee lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braylen Pendergraft, who scored 15 points. Evan Scott was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Union's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 12-7. As for Lee, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Union will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Wise knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully the Bears like a good challenge. As for Lee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. John Battle is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
