Corinth Christian Academy is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against First Assembly Christian Academy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Corinth Christian Academy came up short against First Assembly Christian Academy, falling 62-40. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cason Amerson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Smith, who posted 12 points.

While Northside Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 1-0 victory over Westwood Christian. The one-point effort marked Northside Christian Academy's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win made it two in a row for Northside Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Corinth Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
