Plymouth is a perfect 6-0 against Triton since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Pilgrims/Rockies will host the Trojans at 11:00 a.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Plymouth nor Concord made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Pilgrims/Rockies never let the Minutemen get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Pilgrims/Rockies this season.
Preston Wolfe made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Parker Wolfe was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Plymouth is 6-1 when Wolfe posts two or more runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Trey Delp was another key player, earning three RBI and one run.
Plymouth hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Concord struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Triton entered their tilt with Winamac on Friday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Warriors 11-5. Considering the Trojans have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Plymouth, Triton also got a great game from a two-way player: Levi McFarland. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. McFarland was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jadyn Prater, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddox Dennie, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Triton pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Plymouth, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Plymouth took their win against Triton when the teams last played back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 31-0 score. Will the Pilgrims/Rockies repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
