The Warrior Run Defenders will take on the South Williamsport Mountaineers at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Williamsport will  challenge  a team with plenty of momentum: Warrior Run extended their winning streak to six on Friday. The Defenders put the hurt on Milton with a sharp  31-10 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Defenders just coasted through the last quarter.
The match pitted two dominant  backs against one another in  Denyn Beachel and  Montgomery Fisher. Beachel had a great game and rushed for 146 yards. Meanwhile,  Fisher was balling out in the loss, rushing for 108 yards on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 56 yards and one  touchdown.
 Special teams  played a big role in the game for Warrior Run, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Cohen Zechman, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, South Williamsport got themselves on the board against Northwest Area on Friday, but Northwest Area never followed suit. They breezed past the Rangers to the tune of  62-0. The Mountaineers have beaten the Rangers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rangers has come to flipping the script.
 Warrior Run's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for South Williamsport, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
 Warrior Run was taken down by South Williamsport 55-22 in their previous meeting  back in September of 2017. That  matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Defenders were down  35-7.
