MAIZE, Kan. - The defense contributed on the scoring end for
Maize (Kan.) on Saturday, totaling 19 points as the Eagles bested Haysville Campus (Wichita, Kan.) 70-0.
After taking the lead on a
Chase White touchdown run in the first quarter, the Eagles were up 49-0 at the half.
Maize grew its lead to 63 points entering the fourth quarter. MHS scored two times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.
The Eagles has had a rough season, allowing 30.4 points per game.
With the win Maize extended its winning streak to three games.
Maize (5-1) will play a non-conference game against Garden City next week, while Haysville Campus (0-6) will take on Northwest also in a non-conference game.
