On Friday Bishop Grimes take on Oriskany at 7:00 PM. Oriskany will need to watch out since Bishop Grimes have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Bishop Grimes faced South Lewis in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Bishop Grimes were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past South Lewis 58-20. Sophomore A J Burnett, who passed for 373 yards and 7 touchdowns, was a major factor in Bishop Grimes's success. Burnett has been a consistent playmaker for Bishop Grimes as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
As for Oriskany, Oriskany had a rough outing against South Lewis two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Oriskany put a hurting on Cooperstown to the tune of 42-6.
Their wins bumped Bishop Grimes to 3-0 and Oriskany to 2-1. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
