The Logos Prep Academy Lions''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat St. Augustine 60-13 on the road. The victory was just what Logos Prep Academy needed coming off of a 76-28 defeat in their prior matchup.
Logos Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Corbin Koether out in front who threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Sedgwick, who picked up 183 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Logos Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for St. Augustine, their defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-6.
Logos Prep Academy will take on Saint Mary's Hall at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Saint Mary's Hall is ranked 135th, while Logos Prep Academy is ranked 140th). As for St. Augustine, they will head out on the road to face off against Incarnate Word Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
