If South County was riding high  fresh off their  44-6 takedown of Hayfield two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stallions lost  35-14 to the Highland Springs Springers on Friday. South County now  has a losing record of 1-2. As for Highland Springs,  the  victory  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South County will challenge West Springfield at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 13.8  points per game  this season, so the Stallions' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Highland Springs, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Phoebus at 7:00  p.m.  on October 2.
