The North Point Grizzlies will head out on the road to square off against the Parkway South Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Point is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, North Point came up short against Winfield and fell 46-39.
Meanwhile, Parkway South had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They escaped with a win on Wednesday against Lutheran South by the margin of a single free throw, 47-46.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkway South to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Shanfeld, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shanfeld has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Wolf, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
North Point's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Parkway South, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.
North Point suffered a grim 52-28 defeat to Parkway South in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can North Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
