Wellington School's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Lewis, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Nicholson, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
Miami Valley's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Wellington School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Miami Valley will take on Maumee Valley Country Day at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wellington School, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Patriot Prep Academy at 12:00 p.m.
