Rock County Christian came out on top against Academy of Excellence by a score of 59-47 on Tuesday. With that win, Rock County Christian brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Rock County Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tony Thompson out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Thompson hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Gabriel Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Rock County Christian pushed their record up to 18-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Academy of Excellence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Rock County Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Grace Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Rock County Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Tuesday. As for Academy of Excellence, they will head out on the road to face off against Maranatha Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
