In what's become a running theme this season, the Covenant Christian Cougars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 59-5 win over Providence Classical on the road. With Covenant Christian ahead 33-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Keeley Chaddick, who scored 15 points along with eight steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Alani Owens was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Covenant Christian pushed their record up to 17-12 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Providence Classical, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian will challenge the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Providence Classical, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
