Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Stranahan Mighty Dragons walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Tigers 69-30 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Stranahan has managed all season.
Stranahan found their leader in underclassman David Nealy, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Yeargin, who scored 13 points.
Stranahan's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Boynton Beach, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
Stranahan will take on American Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Stranahan is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than American Heritage in Florida (Stranahan is ranked 41st, while American Heritage is ranked 348th). Boynton Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
