2A Blue Mountain recap Nov. 7, 2012
Stephen Thompson and Jesse Corbin provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Weston-McEwen/Griswold. The connection was good for 81 yards, the longest such play in 2A Blue Mountain this season.
Pilot Rock/Nixyaawii Community took down Elgin 54-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Enterprise's dynamic duo of Jordan Wulff and Cody Duquette proved tough for Stanfield to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wulff threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns and Duquette had 124 yards receiving. Tristan Moorehouse helped Enterprise's passing attack out by catching three balls for 35 yards.
Aidan Wright was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 106 yards on 19 carries as Heppner fell to the Tigers. Teammate Tommy Bredfield added to the ground attack by rushing for 57 yards.
Heppner's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Thompson has thrown for 633 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Corbin has 16 catches for 326 yards. Wright leads the league in rushing with 1066 yards.
The Rockets led 2A Blue Mountain in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Huskies.
