The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 68-64 win over Boulder City. The win was nothing new for Sports Leadership & Management as they're now sitting on three straight.
Sports Leadership & Management was led to victory by Tavara Swonger and Michael Ross. Swonger scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Ross dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ross has scored all season. Deijia Swonger was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Boulder City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Julia Carmichael, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Martorano, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Sports Leadership & Management pushed their record up to 7-8 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Boulder City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sports Leadership & Management will take on the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas is ranked 49th, while the Bulls are ranked 58th). As for Boulder City, they will play host again and welcome the Pirate, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
