Magdalena won the last time they faced Animas and things went their way on Saturday too. The Magdalena Steers claimed a resounding 56-21 win over the Animas Panthers. The Steers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.
Magdalena's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jorianne Mirabal, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Mirabal is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played. Magdalena was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Animas only posted three assists.
