The Pendleton Bulldogs will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Bleckley County Royals at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Pendleton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
Last Friday, Pendleton had just enough and edged Oglethorpe County out 50-48.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pendleton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Gray, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Gray's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Garon Blalock, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Bleckley County beat Twiggs County 39-32 last Tuesday. Given Bleckley County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Twiggs County is ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The victory got Pendleton back to even at 6-6. As for Bleckley County, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
