Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Merrillville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaeden Williams, who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Preston Saia was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Merrillville pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Chesterton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
Merrillville will head out on the road to face off against Crown Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Crown Point's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Chesterton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Laporte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
