Londonderry is 6-1 against Dover since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Green Wave at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Londonderry has 15 straight wins, Dover has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Londonderry's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Manchester Central 11-0. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Allison Chambers was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Normand, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Winnacunnet hit Dover with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Green Wave fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 9-8. Even though they lost, the Green Wave's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Dover also got a good showing from Jeanna Martel, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits. Martel has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Mackenzie Curry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Sonja Castonguay was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Londonderry's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Londonderry has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 13.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Dover struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Londonderry's way against Dover in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Londonderry made off with a 7-0 victory. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Green Wave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
