There's no place like home for Big Foot, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Whitewater Whippets on Thursday as they made off with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Whippets: they've now won five in a row.
Connor Weeks was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Weeks was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Big Foot got a big performance out of Quincy Torrez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
