The Central Columbia Bluejays entered their tilt with the Shikellamy Braves with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Central Columbia wrapped up 2023 with a 61-43 victory over Shikellamy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central Columbia also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Central Columbia can attribute much of their success to Jackson Gump, who scored 18 points. Larson Kocher was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Central Columbia's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Shikellamy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Central Columbia will finish 2023 at home by hosting Bloomsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bloomsburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 545th, while Central Columbia is ranked 208th). Shikellamy will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Midd-West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Midd-West is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
