Central Falls gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They skirted past the Times Squared Academy Eagles 30-29. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on 16 straight dating back to last season.
LC Collins was incredible, scoring six runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Chaelys Brito Acevedo, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
Central Falls wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 23-11 victory against Shea on the 4th. As for Times Squared Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Exeter-West Greenwich at 4:00 p.m. on the 11th.
