Plumstead Christian will venture away from home to challenge the Calvary Christian Academy Cougars at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Plumstead Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Church Farm an 11-0 shutout. Plumstead Christian hasn't had any issues with Church Farm recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Declan Glass was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Plumstead Christian is undefeated when Glass posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Michael Dear was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Aaron Miller was another key player, earning two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy made easy work of Collegium Charter on Thursday and carried off a 22-12 victory.
The team relied heavily on Caleb Leader, who went 2-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and one triple. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Calvary Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.9 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 13.6.
Calvary Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Plumstead Christian, their record is now 5-3.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Plumstead Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .457. However, it's not like Calvary Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .466. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Plumstead Christian took their victory against Calvary Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plumstead Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
