Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in prep basketball. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2023-24 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Columbus (Miami) is the 2023-24 Florida MaxPreps Player of the Year. The 6-foot-9 junior forward earns the honor for the second consecutive season after leading the Explorers to a 27-4 record and their third consecutive Class 7A state championship.
