Reading has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Blanchester Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Reading pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indian Hill. Reading has not had much luck with Indian Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Blanchester fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Felicity-Franklin on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 84-74 to the Cardinals. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Reading's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Blanchester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Reading took a serious blow against Blanchester in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, falling 104-67. Thankfully for Reading, Brayden Sipple (who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and six steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
