Madill is 0-10 against Byng since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Madill Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Byng Pirates at 6:30 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Madill lost to Plainview on the road by a decisive 48-29 margin. Madill has not had much luck with Plainview recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, Byng got the win against Marietta on Tuesday by a conclusive 40-20. Given Byng's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Marietta is ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Madill's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Byng, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.
Madill suffered a grim 52-32 defeat to Byng when the teams last played back in January. Can Madill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
