Even though the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals have not done well against the Piedmont Classical Bobcats recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. College Prep & Leadership Academy had just enough and edged Piedmont Classical out 52-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for College Prep & Leadership Academy.
College Prep & Leadership Academy can attribute much of their success to Jayden Davis, who scored 21 points along with 4 steals. The contest was Davis' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrie Pressley, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
College Prep & Leadership Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Piedmont Classical, they have fallen quite a ways from their 35-9 record last season and are now at 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. College Prep & Leadership Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Triad Math and Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Piedmont Classical, they will challenge Page at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
