After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tuckerman, Izard County was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Marshall Bobcats as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

With the win, Izard County broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5. As for Marshall, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Izard County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Mammoth Spring on the 10th. As for Marshall, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Tuckerman on the 10th.
