Flagler/Hi-Plains will be playing at home against Briggsdale at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Flagler/Hi-Plains are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
If Flagler/Hi-Plains were riding high off their 72-6 takedown of Weldon Valley two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Flagler/Hi-Plains were dealt a punishing 19-74 loss at the hands of Stratton/Liberty. The defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of senior Nathan Sayles, who caught passes for 121 yards and 1 touchdown, and freshman Cody Banks, who punched in 1 rushing TD and snatched 1 receiving TD. If you haven't heard Banks's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in Flagler/Hi-Plains' past three games.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Briggsdale had to settle for a 39-52 loss against North Park last Saturday. Briggsdale were down by 20-40 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Find out which team's record gets a tune-up and which team falls into a funk by watching the game and checking back on MaxPreps for the full scoop.
