The Garber Wolverines will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Kremlin-Hillsdale Broncs at 7:00 p.m. Kremlin-Hillsdale took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Garber, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Garber faced Ringwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Garber came out on top against Ringwood by a score of 46-34. The win was just what Garber needed coming off of a 56-30 defeat in their prior matchup.
Carson Bishop went supernova for Garber, rushing for 279 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 16.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown. Bishop's longest reception was for an incredible 90 yards. Domingo Ramirez was another key contributor, rushing for 128 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Kremlin-Hillsdale, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were outmatched by Oklahoma Bible on the road and fell 54-8. While losing is never fun, Kremlin-Hillsdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Oklahoma Bible is ranked fifth).
Garber's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Kremlin-Hillsdale, their loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Garber against Kremlin-Hillsdale in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 58-8 victory. Does Garber have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kremlin-Hillsdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
