The Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Western Hills, posting a 47-12 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Stephenville who now have seven in a row.
Ryan Gafford was a one-man wrecking crew for Stephenville as he threw for 231 yards and four touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Stephenville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 8-3 China Spring and 7-4 La Vega (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.6% over those games). As for Western Hills, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Stephenville will take on Carter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 162 points over their last four matchups. Western Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
