Bishop Neumann extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Madison Wiese. The Cavaliers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Norfolk Catholic Knights on Tuesday with plenty of help from Wiese, who had 31 digs and seven assists. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.5 digs per game.

Bishop Neumann had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Norfolk Catholic saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Reese Timmerman had 21 digs and three assists. Timmerman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Bishop Neumann's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Norfolk Catholic, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-4.

Bishop Neumann and Norfolk Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings. The Cavaliers will face off against Scotus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (20 vs. 95). Meanwhile, Norfolk Catholic (ranked 16th) will meet O'Neill (ranked 105th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
