With a playoff win on the line, Queen's Grant rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They breezed past the Union Academy Cardinals to the tune of 69-41. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Queen's Grant was led to victory by Mekhi Allen and Bobby Montgomery III. Allen to rack up 24 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds, while Montgomery III en route to 23 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Montgomery III a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Scott, who posted six points and seven assists.

Queen's Grant was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union Academy only eight assists.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaqwon Harrell, who scored 11 points. Miles McGinnis was another key player, putting up ten points.

The win was the 11th in a row for Queen's Grant, bringing their record for this year to 24-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.6 points over those games. As for Union Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Queen's Grant will square off against Winston-Salem Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Queen's Grant is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Winston-Salem Prep a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Union Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
