It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Harrison Hoyas can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 54-14 loss at the hands of Carrollton. Harrison was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-14.
Several Hoyas players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Kluse, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Carrollton found their leader in underclassman Julian Lewis, who threw for 435 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. Kiyun Cofer did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Harrison and nudges their season record down to 7-4. As for Carrollton, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carrollton will be playing in front of their home fans against Valdosta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Valdosta is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
