Welsh's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Notre Dame, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-11.
Looking ahead, Welsh will face off against Hackberry at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Notre Dame, they will take on Iowa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
