The Jefferson-Morgan Rockets were the 52-40 winner over the West Greene Pioneers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Jefferson-Morgan fell to West Greene 45-39.
Despite the loss, Jefferson-Morgan still got an impressive performance from Max Ivanusic, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Greene to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Burns, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Patrick Durbin, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Jefferson-Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for West Greene, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Jefferson-Morgan will head out on the road to take on Geibel Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Geibel Catholic comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for West Greene, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mapletown at 7:00 p.m.
