The Upper Perkiomen Indians''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a rough 42-21 loss at the hands of Pottsgrove. Upper Perkiomen lost against Pottsgrove in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 40-21 score last time.
Pottsgrove got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mikhi Dargan out in front who rushed for 56 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Pottsgrove also got a significant boost from Isaiah Rivera, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Upper Perkiomen's defeat was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.6 points per game. As for Pottsgrove, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Upper Perkiomen will head out on the road to face off against Norristown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norristown comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Pottsgrove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
