The Surprise Valley Hornets lost against the Butte Valley Bulldogs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Surprise Valley took a hard 54-40 fall against Butte Valley.
When it comes to explaining why Surprise Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Iina Nabahe-Henry. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Nabahe-Henry has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Grove, who scored 11 points along with three blocks.
Surprise Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8. As for Butte Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Surprise Valley will take on Happy Camp at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Happy Camp is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Butte Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Tulelake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
